What the KarmaScore measures
24 indicatorsThe KarmaScore assesses an SME's AI maturity across 24 indicators spread over four dimensions: Technology (safety, traceability, explainability), Compliance (FADP, GDPR and AI Act: records, data subject rights, impact assessments), Environment (footprint of infrastructure and usage) and Society (fairness, accessibility, transparency, employment). Each indicator is scored from 0 to 4 on a maturity scale described in plain language, and the weighting adapts to your sector — capped so that no dimension dominates. The score is a simple addition, with no black box: the formula is published and every question cites its legal basis.

Designed for honest answers
Your answers stay in your browser — no account, no database — which removes any reason to embellish. The tool is built to resist self-complacency: the indicators that are critical under the FADP flag a zero whatever the average, and the shared report is never more flattering than the screen. We assess ourselves against the same grid, by the way: our score is public, weaknesses included.

Frequently asked questions
How long does it really take?
About fifteen minutes if you know your organisation: 24 questions, each with 5 maturity levels described in plain language. A draft is saved at every step in your browser — you can stop and resume.
Do I need to prepare documents?
No. The questions can be answered from memory (“do we do this, and how formalised is it?”). Optionally, the pre-analysis of your website suggests levels for the publicly visible indicators — you remain free to correct them.
Is a self-declared score reliable?
It is a declarative measure, and the site says so openly: its value is to situate you and rank your priorities, not to certify. Critical signals (security, automated decisions, outsourcing) are never offset by a good average. For a state of play verified against evidence, there is the guided flash audit.
What do you get at the end?
A score out of 100 that is exactly decomposable (every point comes from an identified indicator), the comparison with your sector, a prioritised action plan with the point gain of each move, and a downloadable summary report — plus, if you ask for it, delivery by email.
